The third and the fourth in a series of workshops organised within CONNECTA’s sub-project ‘Technical Assistance for the Deployment of Smart and Sustainable Mobility in the Western Balkans’ were held in Tirana on 22 and 23 November 2022.
A two-day event gathered the representatives of the Transport Community Permanent Secretariat, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy of Albania, the Albanian Institute of Transport, the Albanian Railways, the Albanian Road Authority, the Albanian Agency for Energy Efficiency, the Public Company Motorways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure of Kosovo*, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Kosovo, the Ministry of Capital Investments of Montenegro, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of North Macedonia, the Ministry of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure of Serbia, the Public Enterprise Roads of Serbia, the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Mining and Geology, the Regional Cooperation Council and the Delegation of the European Union to Albania.
The purpose of these workshops was to share and discuss the best international practices, the progress of the sub-project as well as regional challenges, with an objective to jointly identify the strategies for reaching the implementation targets and facilitate a way forward towards smart and sustainable transport solutions in the Western Balkans.
